Exchange of rings

Saying ‘I do’ in Italy

The legal, civil ceremony in Italy is fairly basic. The registrar will read three articles from the Civil Code and read the declaration in the marriage register. The ceremony doesn’t actually include any vows or rings. ┬áBut this allows you to personalise your ceremony to the max with readings, music, vows – traditional or written personally by yourselves – and promises as you exchange your rings…

We can provide you with suggestions, a copy of the basic ceremony as well as a sample ceremony so you can see where it is appropriate to add your own ideas to make the ceremony more personal. You really can be as creative as you like so your wedding ceremony is all about you.
